Foundation

Understand and use basic everyday expressions. Introduce yourself and ask simple questions.

Elementary

Communicate in familiar everyday situations, exchange information and describe your routine.

Intermediate

Communicate independently in many everyday, travel, study and work situations.

Exact learning objectives vary by language. Japanese, Korean and Chinese use their own programme and examination levels; these are not direct CEFR equivalents.
